Mutual Community Mission Group: Groceries for Growth

The Mutual Community Mission Group (MCMG) is a community charity group that was formed in 2018.  Their goal was to develop a program to provide school age children at the Waterloo Public School with food on the weekends.  Without any hot lunch, these children might otherwise go hungry. The project is called “Groceries for Growth”.  Currently, the program includes students 4K through 5th grades.  At this time, 45 children are receiving food weekly.

Members of the group are Jan Crave, Marilyn Connell , Mary Lynn Schaefer, and Jean Tousignant. They purchase the food, pack it into individual bags for each child and deliver it to the Waterloo Elementary School office where school personnel place the bags into the children’s back packs.

At present, St. Paul’s Lutheran is acting as the fiscal agent for the group until they obtain a Tax-Exempt number. All money donated to the group is tax deductible. Monetary support for this program has come from churches, businesses, individual donations and grant money.

All money received goes directly to purchasing food for the children. The MCMG members are all volunteering their time and effort to this program. For further information, please call 920-478-2233 or e-mail waterloomcmg@gmail.com.

St. Paul’s Little Library

The Little Free Library was created to inspire a love of reading, spark creativity by fostering book exchanges and build community relations.  Members of St. Paul’s, Russel P. & Marilyn C. graciously donated this lovely Little Library that they made.  It is located in front of St. Paul’s.  Anyone is welcome to take a book or drop one off.  Help us increase access to books for readers of all ages.
